Jet-Tone mouthpieces were once a major brand, played and loved by such trumpet superstars as Maynard Ferguson, Bill Chase, Al Hirt, and many more. Since the company went out of business, trumpet players have searched for a replacement. Legends Brass is bringing them back! Each Legends JT model begins with a scan of a vintage Jet-Tone, and is recreated with a level of precision and consistency only possible with CNC technology. Legends Brass is your new source for an old favorite!

.550″ JT RE Trumpet Mouthpiece

The Legends JT RE was inspired by a famous Jet-Tone mouthpiece played by the legendary Roy Eldridge. It’s got everything you need to play in the upper register all night long, the way Roy Eldridge did it, with a focused, sizzling sound!

.590″ JT MF Master Trumpet Mouthpiece

The Legends JT MF Master was inspired by a Jet-Tone mouthpiece actually played by the legendary Maynard Ferguson. The rim just melts into the cup, which is a medium shallow to shallow convex V.

.590″ JT MF Monster Trumpet Mouthpiece

The Legends JT MF Monster was inspired by a Jet-Tone mouthpiece actually played by the legendary Maynard Ferguson. The rim is round with a small inside diameter (.590″), and the cup is medium shallow to shallow. The Legends LA backbore is a copy of one used by Johnny Madrid. This mouthpiece has melded inspiration from two trumpet masters – and two masters make a monster!

The Legends JT CS was inspired by a Jet-Tone mouthpiece played by the legendary Charlie Shavers. It has a wide slightly round rim and shallow cup. In case you’re “Undecided”, we offer it in seven different inside rim diameters ranging from .590″-.650″.

.593″ JT MF Trumpet Mouthpiece

The Legends JT MF was inspired by a famous Jet-Tone mouthpiece played by the legendary Maynard Ferguson. The rim just melts into the cup, which is a medium to medium shallow convex V.

.593″ JT Super C Trumpet Mouthpiece

The Legends JT Super C: Combine the small inside rim diameter, the shallow convex V cup, and the focused backbore together and you’ve got a recipe for Super C!

.600″ JT AH Trumpet Mouthpiece

The Legends JT AH is based on a vintage Al Hirt Jet Tone mouthpiece. The small inside diameter and shallow cup make it great for solo and lead, and it’s still able to handle technical riffs and legit parts.

.624″ or .654″ JT RS Trumpet Mouthpiece

The JT RS was inspired by the Jet-Tone RS2, which was designed for and played by the legendary Roy Stevens. It has a round, soft rim available with inside diameters of .654″ (like the original Jet-Tone), and .624″. The cup is a shallow V bowl, and the backbore is the Legends Vegas.

.625″ JT BC Trumpet Mouthpiece

The JT BC was inspired by the Bill Chase Jet-Tone mouthpiece. It has a relatively wide flat rim, a medium shallow cup, and a sound so hot it just might melt your ears!

.625″ JT MF2 Trumpet Mouthpiece

The Legends JT MF2 is inspired by the Jet Tone MF2. The rim (.625″ ID) just melts into the cup, which is a medium shallow to shallow convex V.

.640″ JT AH D Trumpet Mouthpiece

The Legends JT AH D is based on a vintage Jet-Tone reissue AHD (Al Hirt) trumpet mouthpiece. The rim is medium round with an inside diameter of .640″. The cup depth is similar to Bach C. This mouthpiece responds easily and produces a rich sound good for concert settings and legit playing.

The Legends JT AH S is based on a vintage re-issue Jet-Tone Model AHS mouthpiece. The rim is semi-flat, with an inside diameter of .640″, and the cup is medium shallow. This mouthpiece produces a bright, crisp sound and supports precise attacks on quick-tonguing riffs. Just what you need to play Dixieland Jazz like “The King”!

.640″ JT B Trumpet Mouthpiece

The JT B was inspired by the Jet-Tone B model. It has a semi-flat rim, a .640″ inside diameter, and a medium shallow cup.

.656″ JT 1A Trumpet Mouthpiece

The JT 1A was inspired by the Jet-Tone 1A model. It has the classic Jet-Tone A rim and a medium shallow cup.

.656″ JT 2B Trumpet Mouthpiece

The JT 2B was inspired by the Jet-Tone 2B model. It has the classic Jet-Tone B rim and a medium shallow to medium depth cup.

.656″ JT 2D Trumpet Mouthpiece

The JT 2D was inspired by the Jet-Tone 2D model. It has the classic Jet-Tone D rim, which is slightly more narrow that the A-C rims. The cup is medium depth, similar to Bach C. It has a nice big .656″ inside diameter.

.656″ JT 7M Trumpet Mouthpiece

The JT 7M is based on the Jet-Tone Studio Model 7M. It has an inside rim diameter of .656″ and medium cup depth (similar to Bach C). This piece elicits a brilliant, flexible sound suitable for studio or big band lead.

.656″ JT DS Trumpet Mouthpiece

Legends JT DS: This mouthpiece was inspired by a famous Doc Severinsen Jet-Tone given to me by Tony Scodwell (who performed with and was road manager for Doc Severinsen’s Big Band for many years). The rim is semi-round, not too wide, and has some good undercut going into the cup. The cup is medium in depth (similar to Bach C).

.656″ JT MF3 Trumpet Mouthpiece

The Legends JT MF3 is inspired by a vintage Jet Tone MF3. The rim (.656″ ID) just melts into the cup, which is a medium shallow convex V.

.656″ JT ST Trumpet Mouthpiece

The Legends JT ST was inspired by a Dave Stahl Jet-Tone mouthpiece. It has a narrow but comfortable rim (.656″) and a medium shallow cup. It’s great for upper register lead, and technical legit playing, too!

Shipping is free inside the USA. International shipping charges are generally around $45. This does not include any tariff or customs charges, as those will be the buyer’s responsibility. Payment by PayPal is preferred for USA and required for international shipping. Payment must be received immediately. We ship only to confirmed PayPal addresses.

Any item can be returned. It must be in new condition (no exceptions). The buyer must pay return shipping plus a 20% restocking fee. Return shipping must be by USPS Priority Mail or USPS International Priority Mail. The customer will receive a refund (price paid for the item minus restocking fee) within 48 hours of delivery of the returned item, if the item is confirmed to be in satisfactory condition. Customer satisfaction is our highest priority, however this strict return policy is necessary in order to keep our prices low. Unfortunately, some people buy mouthpieces just to try them, with no intention of keeping them. Once returned, these mouthpieces must then be sold at a discount as ‘demo’ or ‘used’ pieces. The restocking fee is meant to discourage this. However, we will work with serious buyers to the extent possible to make sure in advance that your questions are answered and you are comfortable that you are purchasing a mouthpiece that will be satisfactory to you!

Custom designs (mouthpieces, tops, and backbores) are final sales and cannot be returned or refunded for any reason due to the personalized nature of these pieces.

If the product you order is in stock, it will usually be shipped within 24 hours. USPS Priority Mail delivers in 3-5 days.
If the product you order is in stock, but you want gold plating, it will take about two weeks for the order to ship. (If the item happens to be in stock in gold plate it will ship in 24 hours.)
If you order a product that is not in stock in either gold or silver plate, we will make it to order. This usually takes 8-10 weeks. If you also want gold plating, it will add two more weeks, for a total of 10-12 weeks.
